Edit Google Adsense For Search Options - Site Search.

This function allows you to change the display options for the search type. The search can be set up in one of three ways:

  • Using the Google "search the web" and "search this site" radio buttons and features
  • Using the Google "search the web" features
  • As a purely internal search (searches the article database)

Both the search text and the search button text (changes from "article search" to "Google search") will automatically change based on what option you decide to use.

When you use the Google search functions your Google Adsense ID is automatically inserted into the form so revenue from clicks done on searches is credited to your account.

Paid Ad Manager

Every ASM site contains a 'paid ad section' (above the related ads and RSS feed icons) that allows you to sell ad space on your website. The administration panel allows you to ad, edit, deactivate or delete these ads quickly and easily without having to know any HTML coding whatsoever. The Ad Manager has 5 functions within it that effect the paid advertising boxes that display above the related items:

  • Turn the ads on or off. Simple click the button and submit and the ads turn on or off - this effects any and all ads that may be in the system.
  • Input a new ad into the system. This allows you to enter an ad's title (displays in the bar above it), enter the actual add text (up to two paragraphs) as well as a bottom link that will show directly below the ads main text. The new ad form also includes the ability to add a no follow tag to the ad's link (for SEO), a target='_blank' tag to the link (open ad's site in a new browser window) with no HTML coding knowledge required. Lastly the new ad form allows you to tell the system if you want the new ad to display above or below any existing ads.
  • Delete - Deactivate an ad. This allows you to delete or deactivate an existing ad all from one simple interface. Simply check the boxes you wish and submit the form. Deactivating an ad does not delete it from the system, it simple sets a field in the database so the ad does not show on the site - nice for late paying customers!
  • Edit an existing ad. This feature allows you to find and edit an ad quickly and easily. Simply click on the link for the ad you wish to edit, make any changes in the form and submit the changes.
  • Change display order of your existing ads. With a simple click of the mouse you can rearrange your ads, moving them up or down in the display order.
